Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding” is the opening track on the double album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. The first part, “Funeral for a Friend”, is an instrumental created by John while thinking of what kind of music he would like at his funeral.[2] This first half segues into “Love Lies Bleeding”.

January 27 – U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War ends with the signing of the Paris Peace Accords. January 27 US military draft ends. February 11 – Vietnam War: The first American prisoners of war are released from Vietnam.

March 1 – Pink Floyd’s album The Dark Side of the Moon is released. March 29 – The last United States soldier leaves Vietnam. May 30- George Harrison releases his fourth studio album “Living in the Material World” in the US. Oct 5- “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” 7th studio album by Elton John is released.  And a whole lot of other stuff that a Web search will reveal.
