We Should All Be Sports or Movie Stars

The adage declares “America needs ditch diggers, too.”

How you interpret that emotion-based meaningless statement depends on too many factors to cover here.

My interpretation is biased and based upon my own experience and education.

Stated quickly… work you commoner scum. Do the tasks needed to allow an industrialized country/society to function.

Do that work for minimal pay and thus at the lowest possible cost to the deserving folks atop the socio-economic hierarchy.

Never complain!!!  Just be grateful you have a job.

So, your pay is very minimal and you are worried that if that “ObamaCare” thing smacks you in the face and since you are one of many without access to health insurance… heck, you can barely afford even the barest essentials of life, since you do not have health insurance you will be forced to give up WHAT to pay for that insurance? Give up a meal or two or three or more weekly? Pay that fine for not doing what the ruling master’s lackey and other parts of the elite’s federal government has ORDERED you to buy?

Screw you commoners. Your only duty is to OBEY and serve your betters you commoner filth scum.

And there is a HUGE army of lackeys and jack-booted thugs ready to force you to obey.

Remember, it is your own fault if you are not at the top of the socio-economic hierarchy yourself.

Following is the news story that compelled me to rush over to my Land of Disgruntledness and write this entry.

“The owner of Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants is putting more workers on part-time status…”

Darden shifting workers to part-time

The USA mass media, owned by the elites, has mostly ignored the many changes in the USA regarding the many negatives impacting the HUGE mass of common folks.

Maybe the mass media is too busy ensuring those masses are well-indoctrinated so that they continue to perform as the ruling masters require to keep their HUGE scam functioning.

An increasing number of jobs are being altered to make the worker an independent contractor. There are many benefits of that for the firm using so-called independent contractors.

To save your and my time I urge you to look on the Web about the independent contractor scheme/scam.

Independent Contractor Scheme

Look for the pertinent “hits” and use information acquired from the pertinent sites to refine/hone additional search terms, if needed.

There are other schemes and scams and fiendish plots to pay the least amount possible for those required to serve the elite-class masters, both local, regional and national-level elites.

In my younger days before the many physical limitations enveloped this Disgruntled Old Coot I took on any job I needed to keep me fed.

Having to compete with the millions of illegal aliens in California for blue-collar type jobs sucked immensely and their swelling numbers and demand for housing led to falling wages and rising rent.

I never heard a politician or bureaucrat mention that FACT.

Sometimes the only work I could find was agricultural work out in the fields with migrant workers who were mostly Chicanos but the Gringos (Anglos, Caucasians, Honkies, whatever) were also present.

Some of the Gringos were part of the migrant worker culture of following the crops and other were akin to me; a local who kept trying to get a decent job but while trying to get one had to do what I could to support myself.

We often worked at a “piece rate” where the pay depended upon the amount of work accomplished.

For example, we received $5 for every “flat” of blackberries picked.

It took me a little over one-hour to fill a flat.

No shade under that relentless California sun.  100 and more degree heat. Not fun but that money brought food, paid rent, and kept us in transportation allowing access to the current and future jobs.

The federal Fair Labor Standards Act exempts employers from paying overtime to employees involved 100 percent of the time in agricultural operations…”

“In California, workers in agriculture are not paid overtime unless they work more than 10 hours in a day or more than 60 hours in a week.”

Agricultural Overtime Labor Laws

Some agriculture work paid by the hour, usually jobs where the crop was not harvested by hand.

Hanging onto the side of a mechanical harvester with a 600-horsepower diesel engine 5-feet away enveloping you with that heat to accompany the 100-degree and higher inferno and immense amounts of dust that colored the crud you coughed up constantly, even when you wore damp bandanas over your mouth and nose made that job deplorable.

Grabbing dirt clods and other debris as onions scampered by on the conveyor belt was one minute piece of a huge industry that ensures everybody is fed… even those who need to do nothing to assist in ensuring the life-sustaining requirement is available.

If only those “special people” skimming wealth from the common folks had to assist in providing our food.

I wonder if We, the People would have to compete for pay, housing etc. with many millions of illegal invaders who negatively affect the supply/demand job/pay equation if the few who control the USA also had to compete economically with the multi-millions of people illegally invading and competing with USA citizens?

Well, Mitt Romney has an answer… pay even less by sending as many jobs possible to other countries!!!

An elite-class hero that Mitt fellow.

And the brainwashed bleating sheep scream their desire for that figurehead lackey enemy-of-the-masses main politician wannabe’.

You spewing politician filth… Yes!!! I and other USA citizens were doing the jobs you lackey upper-class filth proclaim are “Jobs Americans will not do.”

And the continuous efforts to pay us despised commoners as little as possible is a fact of life for those referred to when we hear or read;

America needs ditch diggers, too

Just ensure those ditch diggers are paid as little as possible to maximize the wealth of the blessed deserving folks.

Work hard. Work smart. Do more with less.

Our friends at Dictionary.com share with us their definition of “productivity”:

“The quality, state, or fact of being able to generate, create, enhance, or bring forth goods and services: The productivity of the group’s effort surprised everyone.”

Another way of defining the term is getting more done with less input. That can be fewer workers, reduced cost of materials needed, etc.

The chart shows that the benefits from increased productivity is not reaching the lower levels of the socio-economic hierarchy.

Economics is a very complex topic and is boring to many folks. Me, too!!!!

I have done enough reading to know that the elites use various methods to minimize earned income of the type the typical USA citizen earns.

The politicians and bureaucrats along with their masters, the elites, will assuredly be very pleased if more firms use the part-time worker method of reducing costs.

It makes sense to me that more part-time workers will be needed to perform as much work as full-time workers do.

More workers earning less and having a tough time economically means nothing.

The upper-crust and their scum lackeys can shout out the greatness of the wondrous USA economy because the unemployment rate is lower and headed ever-downward!!!!

Who cares if workers are impoverished!!!

As long as the “deserving ones” can maintain their wealth flow and continue to brainwash the masses that all is FINE!!!

Imagine an unemployment rate of only 2 percent.

THE SYSTEM WORKS!!!

If it only requires an ever-growing number of commoners working part-time to achieve that rate… well, those commoner scum have only themselves to blame for not being in the upper tiers of the socio-economic hierarchy.

Though the adage “America needs its ditch diggers, too” comes across as mere propaganda… at least in my view.

The scam that is the official unemployment rate is useful to the brainwashing the masters toss at us relentlessly.

So… when is a person considered employed?

Who is counted as employed?

“…people are considered employed if they did any work at all for pay or profit during the survey week. This includes all part-time and temporary work, as well as regular full-time, year-round employment. Persons also are counted as employed if they have a job at which they did not work during the survey week, whether they were paid or not, because they were:

On vacation

Ill

Experiencing child-care problems

Taking care of some other family or personal obligation

On maternity or paternity leave

Involved in an industrial dispute

Prevented from working by bad weather”

Work 2 hours because that was the only work you could find?

.

You are EMPLOYED!!!!

Good for you.

Make sure you save for retirement and go to school for that new skill and hope that skill does not move overseas with the firms requiring that skill moving overseas for low-cost labor.

And hope that one of the multitude of visa-types that brings in foreign workers who are akin to slave labor for various reasons does not take the job your likely time and cost extensive education provided.

And, do not just be an average Joe or Jane.

Our “new improved” society requires the best and the brightest.

There is always an illegal to perform the “grunt work.”

Maybe the USA should start offshoring everybody at a young age as soon as it is determined they are merely average or lower in abilities.

Of course, keep a few around to serve in the elite’s military to keep the elite’s wealth channels to foreign income open and ensure those foreign friendly elites are protected and unfriendly elites know that if you mess with the USA elite or corporate wealth that the USA is ready to shed the blood of as many of its commoners needed to maintain the USA elite and corporate status quo.

Another part of being one of the growing working-poor class is that the jobs available to us often do not allow attending adult-type schools to obtain new skills.

Many of my jobs did not allow attending classes that are geared towards office-type workers with a 5 pm quitting time as the norm.

There are other reasons making education attendance difficult to impossible and then there is the expense involved.

The well-brainwashed buffoons will spew a multitude of knee-jerk rhetoric responses to my declaration about the difficulties of those in the lower socio-economic groups obtaining new job skills and I have heard and read many of them.

There is the world of the fictional “American Dream” then there is reality.

A reality that can be described but until it is experienced……

I end this latest tirade with:

OBEY THE MASTERS OR PAY THE PRICE
