Law enforcement is a requirement to control the scum of society, to assist in maximizing civil behavior among people and a multitude of other required and useful duties.
Sadly, it appears to me that far too often law enforcement (cops) have become the oft-mentioned jack-booted thugs that are loyal to pay, pension and perks and led by their bureaucrat masters who, in turn, are ultimately the enforcement arm of society’s ruling elites.
Obey or die.

I recall the same or similar scenario occurring for decades.
When the Web arrived and when I hopped aboard in 1996 I read news outlets with a Web presence regularly.
Regularly news reports of innocent citizens murdered by the “peace keeper” increasingly militarized law enforcement lackeys of the ruling class filled the Web.
A few months ago a military veteran of the mid-east affairs was murdered in the prime of his life by jack-booted thugs.
Do a Web search.
I wonder why the government statistics creators do not make an effort to gather how many innocent decent folks are murdered or injured by jack-booted thugs?
Maybe they do but I can not find that information.

Another consideration; when the survivor(s) of a murdered commoner (interesting how wealthy and/or famous folks are never the murdered ones) sue the offending law enforcement agency and IF they win it is the taxes you and I pay that covers the settlement costs.
As for the cop doing the actual murdering?

And their retirement plan is very likely far better than any pension you receive.
In so many ways We, the People, the masses of common folks, pay for our economic enslavement, pay for the guns and bullets used to murder us and pay many BILLIONS of dollars for the bureaucracies and bureaucrats used by the elite class to enslave us.
