The Disgruntled Old Coot is not wandering the Web and the planet alone.
There are kindred spirits out there but rest assured that I am likely far homelier than those mostly younger folks not worn down and withered by decades of arduous physical labor that has worn my body town to a nub as a pencil being shoved into a sharpener too many times devolves into.
Writing the above I have the Occupy Movement galloping through my mind.
At the Wikipedia entry linked-to above I read this:
“The occupy movement began with a commitment to nonviolence.”
That is good.
Not because I am a pacifist but acting unruly, disrespectful, anti-social, uncivil or causing real fear in the ruling elite-class masters and / or their jack-booted thugs can hurt one’s cause and be painful to one’s body when those thugs commence their well-honed pepper spray disseminating.
Many other methods of despised commoner control can be used such as incarceration or placing your name in any number of HUGE bureaucracies that can make your life miserable, forcing you to spend scarce wealth to defend yourself.
Part of the Occupy disgruntlement is how individuals are so powerless against HUGE governments and HUGE corporate entities.
With such immense forces confronting you anything other than non-
violence is futile.
Another important aspect is that “court of public opinion” thing.
The USA military, particularly the Marine Corps, obeying the idiotic politician lackey figureheads of the ruling masters, corporate USA, etc, while roaming around South Vietnam back in the 1960s and early 1970s had a phrase; “Grab them by the balls and their hearts and minds will follow.
Lots of practicality in that phrase but it is the jack-booted thugs who have that option.
We, the People, the lowly commoners who have been immersed in life-long propaganda are limited in our power.
If the Occupy Movement is to have any success (doubtful for many reasons) those folks within Occupy need to place positive thoughts about themselves and Occupy as a whole into as many USA residents as possible.
Considering how effective the USA elites, corporations and other entities are at influencing the masses of bleating citizen-sheep into adoring or, at worst, accepting their ruling masters Occupy must use the same or similar tactics.
“We are the 99%” is an oft-used slogan for the Occupy folks defying the ruling masters.
I doubt that extensive studies have been conducted to ensure that 99% figure is accurate but it has a certain appeal to it.
With humans in general basing their lives, thoughts, everything on subjectivity vice logical, rational thought using a subjective slogan makes sense to me.
If I was to march (if I could physically do so… sigh…) and shout and wave a sign I would declare I am the “Bottom 20%”.
Maybe somebody would take pity upon me and give me a yummy sandwich.
That’s so much better than a lackey thug spraying me with a noxious chemical or smacking me with his taxpayer-paid baton or club or whatever he felt would hurt me the most.
Gotta’ keep those vile scum commoners in line!!! Force those disgusting citizens to obey. At least until the thug receives his life-long guaranteed pension that will rise with living costs… so much better than what the vast majority of despised commoners will receive in the private sector.
A New Declaration: Petition for a Redress of Grievances Continental Congress 2.0
I disagree with portions of the linked-to Declaration. I fear that those who wrote it are displaying some aspects of either the elite’s indoctrination and/or ignorance about some of life reality within the USA.
The Petition wants illegals made legal citizens.
That and other parts of the Declaration suggests to me that the writers have not been immersed in the working-poor blue-collar societal segment as I and so many others have been for decades.
I AM the Blue-Collar Scholar and though a child of the working-poor demographic my life-long hobby has been educating myself about a multitude of subjects.
I must make a different blog entry about the constant media, pundit, politician, candidate, etc. lame idiotic emotion-laden spewing of “Middle Class” this and that.
BAH!!!!!!!!!! with a capital and bold B A and H. And that spells BAH!!!!!!!
Very rare is the spewing about the MANY folks below the middle class.

Oh, the Occupy Movement thing.
I was poking around going backwards on this entry looking for obvious mistakes, errors, gaffes, boo-boos and other indicators that I am as brain-dead in ways as the masses of idiots infesting the USA and the entire planet.
I added a few paragraphs and altered a couple but my wandering mind remains as confused if not more than before.
Anybody wandering upon this entry and actually reading it and, perhaps, understanding some or all of the ideas, thoughts, observations and whatever I am attempting to convey I hereby proclaim my admiration for the mind able to do so.
With such a fine mind understand you would be a lousy political candidate or politician since you are not lackey material.
Back to the written parade.
It is interesting what the mass media decides to cover.
With the many various things in the USA occurring the mass media decides to cover which entertainment star just spit out a vile spawn or which two very wealthy entertainment figures are getting divorced.
Film at 11, folks.
My condemnation of the elite-owned media that has IMMENSE power to mold public opinion includes the many brain-dead folks the media caters to.
Hordes of viewers allows the media to maximize advertising prices to ad buyers and if there is one thing to make an elite quiver with near-orgasmic delight is getting their greedy hands on more money.
And money equals power in the USA.
Money buys bureaucracies and systems and organizations and associations and everything elites can use to enslave you masses of commoners and skim the wealth you create and pay for the jack-booted thugs and prisons to control you and the life-long propaganda to convince you that as things are is correct, proper and… all-American!!!
Love it or leave it!!!
And if “it’s for the children” if you are a despised scum commoner hand over even MORE wealth to pay for the educational institutions. Oh my, yet another appeal to emotions used to control the masses of USA residents.
Well… just ignore the many serious problems facing USA education with the huge influx of legal and illegal immigrants… o heck, I could write 500 blog entries about today’s educational systems but I become so disgusted about that topic the elites love since the MANY serious problems caused by all types of immigration adds to the elite’s wealth and power and harms the despised commoners of the USA…. though the propaganda I mention so often has assisted the elite-class ENEMIES of the common folks convince the brain-dead buffoons that defying any type of immigration is EVIL!!!!!!

Hi, I am back after the trek upstairs I mentioned earlier.

At best I hope that the efforts of those folks combined with other actions, organizations and whatever may influence the patriotic officers not laden with too much indoctrination to consider the need for a military coup to fix what I believe is unfixable via voting or any other method short of military force backed with the immense arsenal of the USA.
With the entire might of the military and masses of citizens encouraging and supporting them I believe a “bloodless” coup is possible.
If a cause is just, if a cause is right, I believe REAL change can occur. not the charade and BS the present USA political system foists upon the brainwashed human herd.
Perhaps it should be “human flock” since the many brainwashed brain-dead buffoons are sheep, not cows.
In past blog entries I have admitted that the current elite- and corporate-owned
systems; political, economic, judicial, etc. may be for the best due to the enormous flock of idiots infesting the masses of citizens.
There IS some agreement from me that the federal government designed by the Founders to actually be owned and operated by an honorable elite class was a smart decision.
I would have endorsed their efforts if I had been present.
But, the sense of honor the Founders expected to guide the government’s controllers disappeared over time.
Then the corporate entities grew until their wealth and power today is far superior than that possessed by entire major countries in the Founder’s time.

Unlike some scum, greedy, elite-class puke there is no charge for using it and I will not use an army of lawyer lackeys to use the courts to pluck money from your pocket.

If you use the new word you could drop by the shanty and cut off the branches growing out of the 3-foot-high stublet of a tree that was cut down 4 years ago.
Yeah, another simple physical action I have so much trouble doing in my declining years.

Humans are social critters and lots of other stuff so organizing the flock is necessary.
There are so many ways that organizing can be done.
Billions of humans infesting the planet and… how many opinions how to organize people into whatever collective comes to mind?
Tribe, clan, country, society and the many ways folks can be combined.

Why do I confound myself so much?
Time to quit stressing my feeble brainlet and look at some charts, graphs, pictures, go get my cup of coffee and see if the HUGE spider that was crawling up the wall next to my bed surely positioning itself to hide then attack me during one of the brief periods I can lay flat and alter my positions as one of the maladies requires but I can not lay flat for long; even sleeping requires I lay at an angle far from horizontal due to a different malady!!

I respect spiders for their required aspect of the biosphere but I am much happier when they keep their distance.
Especially the local in-shanty brown recluse spider clan. They have their turf under the house, in the attic, under the aluminum siding and in the yard but I insist the human living space be human only.

Determining the unemployment rate is difficult to start with then the lying filthy scum alter the data to make the ruling masters and their lackey lap-dogs appear that things are better than they actually are.

Generally, I believe that when you hear or read unemployment figures to double it then triple it then pick a figure between the two then realize there are areas within the USA where the figure will be a little less and some places where the unemployment rate is a lot higher,
For any well-indoctrinated by their masters readers who may have wandered here and read this far let it be known that the Disgruntled Old Coot believes in initiative and reward for one’s efforts and other aspects of life often clumped under the, to me, useless label of that referred to as capitalism.
I also believe that it takes a team to make a country function.
