I was not there.
Even a witness at the site would not know the entire story.
Had the cop been warned of dangerous folks in the area?
Did the cop truly believe with the knowledge he had that his actions were necessary and proper?
If the cop over-reacted but did so unwittingly then reward the attacked kid but do not seek revenge upon the cop.
Perhaps some training and system analysis to make the in-place law enforcement system in that locale does its job but with a minimum of mistakes so innocent folks are not harmed by cops.
If the cop was stupid or whatever and deserves prosecution… do it!!!

Remember, though, cops take an oath about being truthful and if testifying in court take another oath.
The Founders relied upon the elite class to use their sense of honor to guide the USA but that hoped-for honor disappeared and the USA of today was the result.
That same honor has also been thrown away by too many law enforcement folks, encouraged by the elite ruling class, corporate USA, etc to ensure the masses obey their masters.
And thus the sadly growing number of jack-booted thugs forcing us despised commoners to obey the masters and their lackeys.

That often spewed knee-jerk rhetoric based upon implanted propaganda may actually be a good idea.
Younger folks with intelligence and get-up-and-go… it may be best to seek a country/culture attractive to you and prepare to move there and live there.
Abandon this sinking ship of a country… a failed experiment thanks to elites, corporations, greed, a lack of honor and masses of unAmerican anti-freedom lackeys loyal to pay, pension and perks and will beat you despised commoner scum to force you to obey.
Beat you bloody or even until dead. Or maybe shoot you. Whatever it takes to control the despised commoners.
