There are many viewpoints regarding incidents of this type.
There are no cut-and-dried declarations I can offer.
Each incident of a murdered innocent varies.
I do wonder about the general mind-set of today’s law enforcement forces.
Looking at the “big picture” of USA society, its cultures and sub-cultures, the economic forces affecting everybody and the ongoing class war and many other aspects of life in the USA I fear that law enforcement in general is being brainwashed just as the entire USA population is indoctrinated via the MANY propaganda outlets used by the ruling-class, corporate USA and other entities with a vested interest to maintain the status quo that sends wealth and power upwards, always upwards to the greedy hands of the masters.
Once the masters have that wealth they use it for their luxurious lifestyles and to create entities to keep them at the top of the socio-economic hierarchy.
What makes the Disgruntled Old Coot mad is the You and I and all the common folks around us pay for all that is used to enslave us.
You and I paid for that FBI sniper to murder an innocent woman holding her infant.
You and I paid for that murderers’ wages, pension, benefits and the weapon and ammunition that killed an innocent USA citizen.
That “brave patriotic love-the-USA” murdering anti-We-the-People thug lackey is likely receiving his pension by now.
Yes!!! You and I and all taxpayers pay for a murderer to retire in a style much nicer than what the average commoner citizen will live.
Obey the masters, work for them to ensure the commoners OBEY, and receive the rewards for being a jack-booted thug.
And We, the People pay for all the systems and personnel filling those systems that enslave us.
And the systems the brainwash We, the People into believing that everything is as it should be.
I wonder how many folks have cast off enough of the life-long brainwashing to become aware of how we are used for the benefit of the few?
Obviously not enough since the scam continues and the citizen-sheep continue to play their role in a tragic comedy where the ruling masters laugh at the idiotic buffoons filling the bottom levels of the socio-economic hierarchy.

Some police are decent folks. Doing a needed job to the best of their abilities and not a mere lackey of the ruling masters.
HUGE “Thanks” to those who are trying to make our lives better by controlling the scum in our society.
And there are too many scum among us.
But there are also too many indoctrinated lackeys of the masters who are a threat to the decent common folks.

However, if you are not there to see what happened we have to rely upon second-hand reports.
Maybe you will be “lucky” and “only” be beaten or imprisoned by the lackeys of the ruling masters.

video of Collinsville, Illinois K9 officer Michael Reichert violating the civil rights of two guys returning from a Star Trek convention. This one has it all. According to the video, Reichert lies about why he pulled them over. He lies to justify the K9 search. He then conducts a dubious pass around the car with his dog, after which he lies about the dog alerting. When he doesn’t find any drugs, he lies about the dog alerting to some marijuana “shake” on the floor. Finally, we learn at the end of the video that Reichert has two (!) prior convictions and had resign from a previous police department for lying under oath about a drug case.

I have been pulled over for BS reasons before but those incidents were not as weird as the one above.

They chased Cardenas, and he fled, apparently afraid of them (they were not uniformed). Cardenas was shot multiple times in the back.
Dorothy Duckett, 78, told the Mercury News she looked out her fifth-floor window after hearing one gunshot and saw Cardenas pleading for his life. “I watched him running with his hands in the air. He kept saying, ‘Don’t shoot. Don’t shoot,’” Duckett said. “He had absolutely nothing in his hands.”

Well, if a good, civil, moral, law-abiding supposedly FREE USA citizen has a law enforcement lackey pointing at weapon at him or her and has done nothing that would give a reason for the life-threatening event then that citizen or, perhaps, a friend or loved one should use a weapon to ensure the law enforcement lackey does not injure or kill the threatened citizen then…..”…you’re going to get shot.”

Learn how prosecuting attorneys lie and/or hide evidence that proves the accused is innocent.

I still urge all folks to be grateful for law enforcement who perform their duties without enforcing the citizenry to OBEY the ruling masters.
But for those law enforcement folks who abuse their positions or place their loyalty to law enforcement or the bureaucracy they are immersed within or to bureaucrats, politicians or the ruling masters above consideration of the HUGE mass of us common folks….. well, those criminals in uniform are very well-protected.
I have no advice other than demanding a military coup to DESTROY the travesty our governments have become.
DESTROY the bureaucracies that support the ruling masters.
DESTROY the abomination and start anew.

Well, do a Web search for advice on how to interact with law enforcement folks.
Knowing when to talk and when to NOT TALK can protect you AND help prevent the law folks and the legal system from making YOU the innocent person falsely accused but still convicted.
A conviction makes many lackeys within the law enforcement and legal systems appear to be competent.
Don’t allow your false conviction to enhance the careers of scum, verminous filth!!!
Also, NEVER talk to another prisoner in jail.
Even that is no assurance that another prisoner will not lie about the reason you are being held to receive favors from the law enforcement lackeys.
Say NOTHING, EVER, to other prisoners or ANYBODY except your lawyer.
